Hi I have the same problem is there an answer to this issue. I have a surface and a infill area that I need to print in the same print. I have tried surface on both but the surface Is very broken up but the infill is perfect? If I use surface only my surface is perfect, but I have no infill, therefore no strength where I need it. How do I get both to work. My drawings wall thickness is 0.4mm and my infill is set to 10%.
Thanks Frank
Hi the best way to describe what I am trying to achieve is best in the pictures attached.
On the first picture the left is a thin wall fuselage drawn at 0.4 mm to be printed on my ender 5pro printer with a 0.4mm nozzle the left image is printed perfectly with the surface mode selected in special modes this is what I am needing for the outer skin (Surface) The right image in the first picture is showing the infill I need In the Square boxes that are left empty in the the left hand image of the first picture. Where they should be infilled. If I put surface mode to both in special mode then I get the correct infill but the other 2 pictures show the result of fuselage Surface which is full of gaps when printing with the both mode selected. I can get a perfect surface print or a perfect infill print. What I can’t seem to get is is the 2 together In one print. If I print same part with A wall thickness of 0.8mm I do not get this problem but that is defeating the object I am trying to achieve.
I apologise for not being so clear in my earlier post I hope this is clearer.
Thanks Frank
