    Nice print Ian! Hopefully this one won't get stolen :)

    Some models on thingiverse just really deserve to be printed. This is one of them, Mr. Bean, design by: http://goo.gl/vvK0U

    I chopped of the bottem part so I could print the head a bit larger. Sliced with kisslicer, 0,16mm layerheight, 20% infill and medium support. Lots of detail in this print, awesome!

    Looks much better than bright colors when you print statues.

    I will model more of the torso, with cloth and print a bigger version later. I have more models I'm preparing for printig now

    Here's my latest print of Hellboy in Warm Red from Colorfabb.

     

    Amazing print! I like how the color matches the Hellboy character, very cool!

    My latest prints were made during the FabCon 3.D. Printed the vase with a drilled out 1mm nozzle, print time is about 2,5 hours. I used 2 perimeter lines, so they are very strong, and hopefully watertight.

    And I'm here already :) In Erfurt, that is.

    I heard from Florian that "Modern Masters" is the place to hang out tonight. I was already there but it doesn't open until 18 ;-)

    Hi Gijs,

    I've ordered a roll of the Signal Yellow and it's just perfect.. It seems to me that it prints even a bit smoother than just PLA, the pricing is very ok and the thickness is very constant (2,85mm).. I think we have a top-quality-product here..

    Great to hear that you're happy with the quality of the filament. We think it prints a bit smoother as well and it also feels a bit smoother. If you have any pictures, please do share :) We are curious what is being made with the filament.

    actually what settings are best used in Cura to do this above model ???

    what retraction settings are used ??

    Hi Ian,

    I used standard retraction settings on this model. Printed with 1.2mm wall thickness, 0,2mm layer height, 0% infill and at 20mm/s. One other trick to help print this model a bit easier is by scaling it up to fit the entire print bed. I think this might work better because this means more filament is actually printed opposed to a lot of retraction and very little printing.

    We also printed some original sized bracelets that came out beautifully. On these we used double the retraction speed, so 80mm/s. sliced with cura at 30mm/s, at various layer height. Will post an image after the holidays.

    Hi CodeMaven,

    I haven't printed with ABS or Taulman 618 before so its hard to say anything constructive about it. The adhesion to the blue tape is similar to PLA it, might even be a little better because of the PHA. Shrinkage of the PLA/PHA compound is as you would expect with normal PLA. With a hotplate I can get perfectly flat prints.

    Can you tell us how this compares (flexibility, toughness, shearing strength, impact resistance, etc) to ABS? Also to Taulman 618 (Nylon). How is the warping and shrinkage on this material? Does it improve with a heated bed? also what is the adhesion to blue tape like?
