    Cura feature I dream about

    Dear Daid, yeah I know you're sick and tired of various feature requests,

    but I must ask please =

    as Cura is the best 3d printing software at the moment,

    will you ever plan to implement STL EXPORT feature,

    I mean when model is scaled, rotated, supports generated, etc - so it will be possible to save this work as a new STL file, not just GCODE.

    Repeating lines on a print

    Dear community, I've been fighting with this issue for a several days and I'm almost desperate:

    the problem is - my print started to have strange repeating lines.

    What I've done:

    carefully checked the X-Y axes - both are orthogonal, not bent, belts are tight, long and short ones (they are all tight and nice) - moreover while filling the surface I can see everything's alright, I even tried belt tensioneer - but they only reduce quality, so I don't use them.

    I also saw the wobbling Z-axis problem, so I reassembled and assembled Z-axis again, still no luck (checked the couplings and brass nut).

    Any ideas please?

    All the time, sometimes my print finishes well, and sometimes IT STOPS in the middle with HOTEND melting my print, too sad, so sad. RESUME <--> PAUSE helps a little and hotends starts to move a little bit, but hardly finishes another layer and stops again, so the print is ruined again.

    very clever update, thanks for that, that was a pain sometimes.

    can you please comment on any possibility of item name poping up somewhere upon focusing on item or something like this,

    would be really useful in case of sevaral parts loaded.

    Usually the print finishes alright, no problems.

    but sometime IT'S STUCK somewhere in the middle stating the ERROR about LINES.

    Update, now the same happens to me when I printed multiple objects.

    Upon lifting up Z axis for next object in queue, the first layer of the new object was print at 60 mm/sec, definititely not 20 mm/sec.

    Please check this:

    1) set cutoff object bottom any value - I set 14 mm

    2) bottom layer speed is set to 20 by default

    3) print speed was 60 for me

    When I started PRINT, Cura ignore 20 setting and printed 1st layer of cut object with 60 speed. I think it's a bug, 1st layer is the one that touched the platform first, correct? Should be 20 mm speed.

    For me the supershaper is absolutely useless.

    Agree here:

    1) PREPARE BUTTON is better, don't like autoslicing, or at least this option can be added into EXTRAS (AUTOSLICE ON LOAD ON | OFF)

    2) ITEM TITLE on click would be awesome

    3) JORIS - please come back

    4) SKIN option, loved it too

    One more thing please: for me it's pretty vital to have the name of each part loaded on the printing area, sometimes there are 2,5, or even 7 pieces, and it would be AWESOME to have their filenames poped up somewhere on CLICK.

    Is that possible please?

    I remember in prev Cura releases it was shown it the window title.

    One more request please - it it possible to make some kind of grid on the build platform, or ENABLE GRID option, to clearly see if the object lays flat on it, would be really useful I think, it's not always clearly visible if it lays flat or there's a small angle.

    Dear Daid, my 5 cents here:

    1) is that possible to set a temperature per layer, or something like this,

    for 1st layer a little bit higher, for middle print - average, and for top and narrow places a bit lower to prevent melting.

    That would be awesome.
