  1. Hi all 3 weeks ago I upgraded my UM2 to UM2+ with the extrusion upgrade kit.....and now I am seeing lots of under extrusions whilst printing. This is quite frustrating as my UM2 I had no issues once I swapped to Roberts feeder. I have done multiple atomic pulls and they are all clean. All the fans are working on the new head. I have tightened all the screws on the new feeder. I have used the same PLA (faberdasery PLA) that I previously used. Any other suggestions would really be appreciated!
  2. Hi all, I have upgraded my UM2 to using the Olsson block. Initially I was quite apprehensive with regards to the issues others have had with removing the temp. sensor but my UM2 (bought in UK 2013) but F=fortunately my install was a breeze. The heater and the temp. sensor came out of the old heater block with out any issues. :-) Ive re-calibrated the bed and everything and made a test print using the following settings which I was using with my stock UM2 block; but this is where I am now having issues with infill when printing. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be most welcome. Material: PLA (Faberdashery black) Layer height: 0.1 Nozzle size: Jet 0.4mm Temperature: 210C Speed: 50mm/s Fan Speed: 100% (after initial layers)
  3. Hi all, I have been successfully using UM2 since March 2014! I am a newbie to the 3D print world....but so far so good!... I have read many threads in this forum and have managed to get over the steep learning curve!.... Now I am in need of some help..... This morning I set off a print and when I came back to the UM2.....I saw that there was a blob of PLA stuck to the extruder.......print was not going well! So I quickly aborted the print....and checking the hot end....I saw there is a blog of PLA around the heater block (see pics in link below). Any ideas on how can I remove this blob? Is this because the print didn't stick to the surface and hence it stuck to the extruder? OR worse....is there a leak....if so how can I go about fixing this? Thanks all in advance!
