  1. Hi, We got a um 2, beautiful machine, works great :-) however customer support / delivery is still atrocious I see hence the reason why I'm posting here. As ultimaker don't seem to answer emails etc

Ordered around 300 euros of parts etc over two weeks ago... no delivery, no response...

Do I as a customer need to travel to the netherlands to pick up my parts?

We needed the parts a week ago... too late now.

  2. Hi Unfortunately its jammed again... I've trying doing the above method but the filament won't even come out of the bowden tube. It's completely jammed... any ideas how to remove it without damaging the machine??

I also assume that there is a jam in the extruder itself which caused the problem in the first place. the only thing I can think that caused it, is printing low quality fast speed....

  3. Hey anon! So it sounds like the three heater dealies on the main board could be repurposed as say a way to control three pumps or to switch on and off devices? Like could they be used to simply switch on say a print head? And then switch it off? I mean that is essentially pwm. So I guess this means you could have at least 5 extruding devices from the main board in theory...

  4. Hello anon! Well I was looking at pump systems and I figured that all you needed was one control line to switch on and off those pumps. So you could in fact have quite a number of extruders or pumps or whatever running from the board... Like if you had two pwm devices you could switch two doc pumps on and off, causing liquid to flow in a semi controlled manner then use the two extruder ports to directly control screw driven extruders... Antsy way there are possibilities here me thinks...

  5. Hmm, yep I have a heated bed and I have it working too just using a regular bench power supply and a multimeter to monitor the temperature. I have'nt integrated into the machine as who knows what will happen? haha

Well i found the kapton tape has been brilliant, you can get large reels of it from robosavvy I think? Its like 25 euro or something and that will last for ages and ages. I'm reluctant to add too much hardware mods or tinker with the firmware as the system is not so robust I feel....

  6. That's a great idea!! I wonder if its like the kapton tape? Have you tried that? Well you apply it across the platform and use a credit crad to remove the bubbles as you apply it. Pla prints very very well on it and best of all after a minute, it cools and you can pop it off easily. Also the underside of the printed object is super shiny and smooth. And the tape lasts so much looooooooooooooooooooooooonger than the blue masking tape which is ok but not great....

I'll have to try that, thanks!
