  1. Awesome quality. But you will not use that as a real engine part or?

I saw on youtube a video a guy builded brushless motor case and he tried to run it. After hundred of rpm it was cracking really dangerous. At 3:14

oh s...!! he should wear a full face helmet when testing things like that.

Well the house seems very thin, so I guess he could expect that result.

No I will not use it in an engine :-) just as key hanger.

  2. PM_dude thanks for your answer. When I print the model there are no retraction.

The dots come every time a layer is finish, where it join the inner perimeter with the outer perimeter.

I have now tried adjusting temp, flow, speed, and still the same result. Very visible dots when printing 0.2mm layers

This is simply NOT what I was expecting from my brand new ultimaker2 :???:

  3. I have now tried to change filament to a non ultimaker filament and also changed the diameter to 2.90 (measured on the filament), and played with the temperatures, it don't change anything.... same problem with dots.

BUT when I now print in 0.2mm after filament change, I see the dots again, but as small holes. Before when printing with the ultimaker PLA the dots were popping out, as too much material.

I think it's time to play with the flow rate.

  4. I have now printed the same model in 0.15mm layers, it is much better, but I still see the dots. They are smaller now but still visible.

In 0.1, and if I look really close, I also see the dots. Even in 0.08mm I see micro dots.

It seems like the problem always is there, but with smaller layers you get smaller dots.

Yes I am using Cura V14.09

  5. Hi.

When I print the ultimaker robot, and it is printing the antennas, it print two layers on each antenna before it proceed. I want it to print one layer and then proceed to the next antenna, where i prints one layer and the back again to the first antenna.

Two layers in a row on the small antennas will cause melting and I would like to avoid that

Is there a parameter for adjusting this?

    Thanks.

  6. Hi.

I'm all new to Ultimaker2, but have been using Cura a couple of month on my Velleman K8200.

Now I am the happy owner of the UM2, and it's really great.

My problem is that I can't print directly from Cura (is it even possible with the UM2, can't find ANY information about it??)

I can firmware update the UM2 - Yes no problem (so the communication must be ok).

I can copy code to the SD card an print from SD

But how....please tell me how do I print directly from Cura?? I load a model and expect that I would see the print button, but its not there???

    What are I doing wrong?
