  1. Ah a pull up, yes thats the answer im looking for, thanks.
  2. Hi, Im fitting a new hotend to my old UMO. Im testing a normal 100K ATC Semitec 104GT-2 thermistor like I use on my other printer. I connected the thermistor to GND and SIG and got the Marlin firmware from github and Im defining the thermistor as "5" in marlin. When I check the display it show temps around 220C at roomtemp. Is there any other setting that I need to change in order to get realictic values on the Ultimaker electronics? Also I just noticed that even when I unplug the thermistor I still get 220V shown and no temp error. Cheers
  3. Hi, I recently got into possion of an Ultimaker original. After I cleaned it up and it passed the Cura checks, I started printing but noticed the sweet-ish smell of burning PLA. I checked the temp and it looked normal but when I measured with my IR thermometer I got values of around 280C ca 50C higher then I intented to print with. I printed tethered with 50C lower temp and the heating curve was not a smooth as my e3dV6 but still ok and the burning smell was gone. There were no min temp or other temp halt errors so Im a bit puzzled by that behavior. I thought of a wrong thermistor table but I wouldnt expect that from an Ultimaker since I didnt mess with the firmware. Anyway has someone ever seen something like this? and secondly im thinking of switching to a normal 100k thermistor that I have laying around, that shouldnt be an issue even with the 19V electronics right? Cheers
  4. Hi, im just testing the sequential printing feature and im inputting the head clearance.my bounding box is the same on 3 sides exept for the side where the fan hangs. So im setting the mm for the one direction in the machine settings but its not recognized when I look at the model view. The shadow that shows the bounding box is a quadratic to the values of the 3 smaller sides. The longes side is not showing. Is there a workaround maybe something I can put in the firmware? and im on a delta btw maybe that causes it. Cheers
  5. Hi, I recently got a Bondtec double gear extruder that due to its weights I mounted as bowden and not as flying as before. That brought the topic of pressure and retraction back. Retraction is actually really good at 80mms & 3mm at 90cm bowden length and to minimize the layer change blobs, that are now a bit more pronounced, I wanted to get back to slic3r because it has the aligned seam option. I had abandoned slic3r some time ago for retraction and other issues and had switched first to cura engine in repetier and lastly to standalone cura. I did a first test with slicer with the same retraction setting but the seam looked absolutely brutal, so I tested curaengine in repetier (right side) and normal cura (left side) with identical settings. So how can the same slicer absolutely wreck the retraction in one platform and deliver decent results in the other? The slice3r results looked similar to the repetier ones btw. What is cura doing differently that is makes the retraction so smooth? I would really like to replicate those settings in slic3r to get the additional options. I have the feeling that its a timing issue and that curahost somehow doesnt wait long enough during retraction for a blob to form, but I cant really pinpoint the issue precisely. Cheers
