3 on 1 removes dust and oils. WD40 is the same but other brand and use to have some oil. So while it can work to leave it clean (if used after disassembling the parts) you end up running the bushings without lubrication so the erosion will end up eating the shafts external metal, making dents and worsening the smooth movement. Ofc bushings and shafts can work with almost zero oil but is better just oil to have a thin film of oil between the parts and protect them both + smooth movement.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am currently running Cura 2.1.2 on a Dell XPS 8700 I7under Cinnamon with 32GB Of RAM
uname -a 3.16.0-4 amd64 Debian 3.16.7-ckt45-2+deb8u3 (2016-07-02) X\x86_GNU/Linux
I have had no problems running earlier versions of Cura in earlier and present versions of Debian. However Cura 2.1.3 does not install in the current version of Debian. Checking the comments I found that Python 3.4 is required. My current version of Python is 3.4.2.
When attempting the install on Debian, I get the following Engine Log.

#GR5 said
"There is a setting called "jerk" which is not jerk but instead the max change in instantaneous velocity at a vertex. In other words take the vel vector before and after a vertex and subtract them. "
I can't blame GR5 for this error, as the term jerk is rarely used in mathematics. The change in velocity is called acceleration, and the change in acceleration is called the jerk. While almost everyone knows what acceleration is, jerk is usually reserved for son-in-laws. It is the third derivative of a curve. It is also called jolt surge or lurch. It is the only time I have seen this derivative used for consumer products Being able to specify this change in acceleration demonstrates the precision needed in a good 3D device.
For those of a masochistic academic nature:
fourth derivative -- jounce or snap -- change in the jerk
fifth -- crackle -- change in the jounce (and as follows logically)
sixth -- pop
seventh -- lock
eight -- drop
I have never seen (or used) a high order derivative that jounce.
I hope someone is still awake should they have read the post.

I have often had trouble with the permissions of members of /dev being changed in both Debian and Mint after a single use. This happens far more often with the Arduino IDE than with other software, but it does with the TAZ5. I just got my Ultimaker today, so I can not speak to this device. Some times the port is even deleted. I have no idea why this happens, just know to check and fix with chmod when necessary.
Can I use 3 in 1 oil for lubricating the axis?

I must agree with neotko. I would never use WD40 on precision equipment, except as a last resort. Then I would no longer assume that it was precision equipment any longer. Not that WD40 doesn't have its place, not on anything that requires 0.001" or better accuracy and repeatability.
