The board pulleys? are these the GT belt pulleys. I have cleaned and oiled the linear rails.

 

Should I just loosen the hex screws on the pulleys and re tighten them?

Hi,

My UM3 makes a rattily noise when moving from the front to the back on the y axis, this does not happen move from the back to the front. Here is a link to a video https://imgur.com/a/IIAS4qL. Can anybody help to identify this noise?

Cheers Torgeir, None of the so called UK resellers have a comprehensive list of spares with prices like the Netherland sites. That is what led me to asking for UK resellers that sell all the UM3 components.

Hi, I have UM3 and am looking to service it soon, one thing that I have noticed is the capacitive sensor red wire has frayed holding on by one or two strands of wire. I will need to replace the capacitive sensor and wires, and while at it replace the linear bearings and a few other items i.e. nozzle silicone pads.

 

I have been trying to find UK Ultimaker partners that sell the full range of spares, I found a few in the Netherlands that do not ship to the UK.

 

Can anybody list the suppliers in the UK?

I am not sure that this the right place to be asking this question.

 

I have installed the Custom Support Plugin from the Marketplace, I closed Cura and reloaded it. Custom Supports does not show in the extensions dropdown, how can I remedy this?

[Nozzle blocked? Please help]

Hi, I am not having much success solving a problem I am having when printing with the UM3. The printer stopped extruding early in a print, during the first or second layer, please see attached images. The images of the PETG prints were taken on a piece of paper as they were not visible on the glass.

 

The issue first started when I was printing with PETG, see Images 1A&1B, after cleaning the print core and manually feeding filament through the nozzle I tried again to print PETG, same issue, see Image 2. After cleaning the nozzle and the feeder I decided to try PLA, once again this issued happened, see Image 3.

 

On every occasion the feeder ground the filament, see Image 5, and I could not get the UM3 to unload the filament, the nozzle end swelled up due to pressure see 4mage 4.

 

An image of the print core (left) is attached, see image 6.

 

These are the setting for both filament. these have worked well in the past.

 

Printing PETG

Bed Temp - 70°C

Nozzle Temp - 245°C

 

Printing PLA

Bed Temp - 60°C

Nozzle Temp - 206°

 

The feeder is set to the middle mark.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been trying my hand at 3D printing over the last few years and have spent most the time modifying my RepRap printer, Marlin and the slicer to get acceptable quality prints only achieving success seldomly. Over the Christmas break I spent a full week tampering with my old unfaithful 3D printer and decided that time had come for me to buy a printer that would work straight out of the box. Having read and viewed most reviews on the £2K to £5K 3D printers I called 3DGBIRE in the UK. I am very happy with my purchase and the service that 3DGBIRE have provided. While setting up the printer I made a few mistakes and need help, the Tech Support at 3DGBIRE are first class.

Conclusion: I am very happy with the UM3 and the service I have received and top it all chuffed that I have made a new friend (Shaun), buy your printer from him he is truly a nice bloke. Here I recommend 3DGBIRE for your Ultimaker experience and any 3D issues you need help with.
