  1. I just stumbled over a few more with similar problem: And over at autodesk as well: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/fusion-360-not-sending-to-cura-3-0-4-pc-or-mac/td-p/7561395 https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/fusion-360-won-t-import-to-preform-or-cura-2-5-0-windows/m-p/7093351#M2691
  2. If I let fusion call the cura.exe file directly, I get a new cura instance for every make. If is use my batch file, with --single-instance, I get to reuse the running cura, but the build plate is cleared. I think the mac I use in the office does do it the "right" way, like yours as well. This might be a windows only problem. (I have just updated the thread topic to indicate this)
  3. I am trying to setup a workflow to easily print multiple components/bodies designed in Fusion360, say a bolt and a nut. In Fusion360 I start by hitting "make" and select the bolt. This opens cura with the bolt ready to print. Then I go on and "make" the nut as well. This sends the nut stl to cura but unfortunately at the same time cura discards the bolt already there. I can go the long way around, exporting both nut and bolt to files, and then in cura load these two files. But since the integration is almost there it would be nice not to have to worry about files at all. I am on a windows10 for this, both Fusion360 and cura are freshly updated. Currently I have a small batch script to start cura. This script adds the --single-instance option to the cura start up. Otherwise I get a new cura window for every print I am going to make. I guess there might be several more command line options to feed to cura, eventually one of them is "--do-not-empty-build-plate" or what ever it might be called. Are these documented somewhere?
  4. It does. It isn't exactly the same workflow as I have on the mac where I am able to throw parts over one by one as they get made by the CAD tool chain. Now I will have to build all the STL files and then kick them to Cura in one go. I think I can work my way around it. I just find it a bit strange the same program on two different platforms behave differently here, but well, not a biggie, the --single-instance helped a lot.
  5. --single-instance do indeed get me the same Cura instance. But unfortunately when I call it second time, it replaces the part, not simply adding to the build plate. I want to print a Marwin and a Benchy at the same time. I couldn't find an option for that. Can it be done?
  6. Running Cura (3.3.1) on an Xubuntu 16.04. I didn't go through the hazzle to build my own Cura but am simply using the provided AppImage I would like a way to send produced STL files to an already running instance, simply adding to the build plate. STL's are generated by some scripts, so I would prefer to avoid manually loading them from withing Cura. It seems to work seamlessly on a Mac, so it should be doable on Linux with well. I try something like: cura /home/mogul/stl-dump/benchy.stl which starts a new Cura, so if I would like to add another model to the same print I had hoped simply to repeat like cura /home/mogul/stl-dump/marvin.stl but the later unfortunately starts a new instance of Cura rather than applying Marvin to the same plate as Benchy What am I missing? How can it be done? /mogul
