  1. Folks, Can anyone tell me when putting the bottom of the UM S5 back on the unit (I was working with support in changing a control board) is the speaker near the front of the unit or near the back of the unit? I am not certain it matters but it looks like there are two plastic feet that stick out on the side nearest the speaker and no feet on the side furthest away from the speaker, so I don't know if they are there because of weight and therefore need to be placed correctly (Ie nearest the front of the unit, or nearest the back side. Thanks for the help. Richard
  2. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me in clearing a ER32 Code (Z-axis, limit switch issue). I was completing a long print and the filament had problems retracting from the print heads upon completion. I cleared that fault and the I did, and restarted the machine, I got a ER32 code. I have verified the limit switch is free of debris and clicks when activated. The build platform is on the bottom and as soon as the machine is turned on and starts to go through its boot up cycle the error pops. I am not able to access any of the display screens as the faults shows persistently. Any thoughts on how i can clear? I have a trouble ticket but thought someone might have experienced and cleared this in the past. Thanks.
  3. Yes the issue was resolved, thanks for asking. Totally user error. Confused which bay slot in the station was in use so what I thought was a jam actually was me troubleshooting the wrong bay. Once I figured that out the procedures posted online worked like a charm for clearing broken filament in the tube.
  4. AWESOME Thank you and I will. I just ran into another issue I posted about concerning material failing in the Boden tube coming out of the material station. Clear procedures posted online on UM website did not work for me.
  5. So i tried printing PVA in Nozzel tube and the material broke off in the Boden tube. The break occurred near the first sensor on the material station. I can see material come out of the station and go into that sensor, but it does not come out the other end to proceed up into the S5 Feeder unit. I tried to manually push the material through following the steps listed on the UM website for material stuck in station. However, it does not seem to want to push through. Is there some other procedure or thing to try to try to clear the tube? Thanks!
  6. I have a question if this behavior with the UMS5 is normal. This is the first UM product I have purchased so it might be common but thought I would ask. I Just purchased the S5 and when a print starts, the print material is loaded/pushed to the nozzle heads and start to extrude material off the build platform and it falls to the bottom of the machine. It does this with the nozzle 1 at the far left of the machine for a minute or two then steps back to the back of the machine. Still staying on the far left side. Then it moves to the right side of the machine and does the same thing for nozzle two. Once that is complete the print begins and from what i can tell no issues with the print. I have other non UM printers and I have never seen the prep prior to print behave like that. I am used to the bed and nozzle warming and then print starting but the extruding of material is new to me so i thought I would ask if that is normal or do I have something wrong with settings or such. I have done the X/Y calibration and let the machine do its auto level function. I have downloaded the latest firmware for UM and am using Cura 4.6 for my slicing software. Appreciate any insight people might have.
