Aha! You are correct, my friend. Even though the mesh checker spotted nothing, the normals are facing inwards where I used boole to carve out the icons. Some of the Icons were extruded to the positive, some to the negative direction. So the later ones left inverted normals. Thank you so much, I can sleep sound now 😄

I made several story dice like this one. One was sliced and printed well. The second one just won't slice correctly. The top and bottom layers are sliced as if there was no geometry, but the sides are always ok. If I rotate the dice 90 then the top and bottom are still sliced incorrectly and the sides are fine. So I know it is not the geometry. But what is?
