Arc Welder slows down print dramatically

Hello! Yesterday, I tried adding the "Arc Welder" plugin to Cura. Without changing any other settings, the print speed dropped dramatically. Anet A8 at it's core SKR V1.4 Turbo board TMC2209 stepper motor drivers Cura 4.8 w/ Arc Welder development pack "dropped" onto build plate printing gcode from SD card Marlin - with "arc support" enabled (I'm at a different PC and don't have the exact code bit handy) Thank you in advance for your help!
