  1. Hello all, I have been digging deep into trying to get better seams on my Ender 3 V2 Neo using the latest Cura slicer. I have tried everything I can think of and still get much thicker seams on the inside of the print. I did a test cylinder and the wall thickness (double) of 0.80mm was spot on, but there is a "bead" on the seam that is almost 0.14mm! - Ive tried all the seam "hacks" of moving and spacing it differently, all that does is shift the problem around or spread it out across the whole part. - Ive tried reducing the flow down to 80% and the walls get thinner and so does the seam, but proportionally. - Ive set e-steps for my extuder and 100mm of filament requested produces exactly 100mm of filament to the nozzle. - Ive check stringing (very little to none) and retraction through test prints and those look clean Not sure what else to check. The surface finish on my "solid" parts is great. The seam is very evident though and when I try to print articulated items, they are always really bound up or totally fused together. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
  2. Thank you very much for the help. I will try your suggestions. I did checked and set my E-steps first and they were actually a little low. 100mm of requested filament was giving me 95.5mm. I set it to give 100=100 (by changing my steps/mm from the stock 93 to 97.3. I am now printing some test bocks with 1, 2, and 3 lines. I will try the 0.35 outer wall line width. Thank you again for your help.
  3. Here is my 3mf file. this is more the standard settings. I have tried lowering the expansion and lowering the flow. I have not calibrated esteps, but will do that this evening. katana-test-print.3mf
  4. Hello. I am new to 3D printing but having a ton of fun learning. I am currently trying to print some articulated pieces, most notably, one of the pop out swords. I try the test print over and over and am getting the three parts fused together. I have tried several things and nothing seems to improve it. They are completely clear except for the seam and that seems to be binding the concentric layers together. I have tried reducing the flow (95 vs 100), thinning the walls (-0.05 expansion), and running random seam as opposed to standard. I am pretty sure my bed is trammed correctly to the print head (and plane). Do I just need to get more aggressive with the flow reduction? I have not tried adjusting layer height. I am running on an Ender 3 Neo with glass bed 200C extruder and 60C bed (have also tried 50C bed) Running PLA filament any help for this noob would be appreciated.
