  1. Completely uninstalled Cura 5.4.0 with Revo Uninstaller. Reinstalled and the same issue, RAM use climbs and climbs.
  2. I'm using Win 11 on Ryzen 7 PC with 32GB of RAM printing via USB on an Ender 5. When my version of Cura 5.4.0 starts it uses about 140MB of RAM but this climbs quickly getting to 10GB in 2min 43 secs. It reaches 15GB in about 4m30s. Eventually at about 28GB Firefox tabs start to crash, then the screens go black and about 30 seconds later the print stops as Cura crashes. Forced reboot is the next only option. Any ideas? cura.log
  3. OK, I have solved my problem. I replaced the following files in the image below C:\Program Files\UltiMaker Cura 5.4.0\share\cura\plugins\USBPrinting with those from v5.2 and now USB printing in v5.4 works perfectly. From this post referring to changing certain lines in "AutoDetectBaudJob.py". I recall having this problem before and this must have been the solution.
  4. Thanks for your response Dustin. Printing over USB is just so convenient, without the hassle of moving SD cards from PC to printer, so much so that I wouldn't like to print any other way. Every version of Cura that I have used previously has been able to print via USB that it's strange that from v5.3 it can't. I recall seeing something somewhere regarding a solution to this, will look for it but thought that this would be the best place to ask. I have v5.2, v5.3 and v5.4 installed and v5.2 works perfectly but the newer versions don't (all on same Win11 PC), which is just odd.
  5. I have been using Cura v5.2.1 happily for a while now printing through USB. Have just now upgraded to v5.4 but when I start it, the printer reboots and hangs on the splashscreen. Printer is an Ender 5 with a BTT SKR Mini E3 v2.0 board. Is there a file or driver or something missing or changed from v5.2 to v5.4 that would cause v5.4 (and v5.3) to reboot and hang the printer?
