I believe the CancelObject Plugin for OctoPrint is something, I will have a look at. Sounds promising!

I was wondering whether it might be possible to implement some kind of "Live Ignore" feature. Imagine putting more than just one object onto the bed and have your printer work on them. Sometimes, it happens that one ore more objects fail during printing with the result that in most cases, everything on the build plate goes down. So what if - once you happen to notice that one object is failing, it would be possible to let the printer know to ignore this object while the rest will continue to print? Furthermore: If a connected camera would be able to recognize failing objects (due to failed adhesion for instance), it could be possible to automatically ignore that object during the rest of the print... Thinking about it, this seems to be more like an OctoPrint or Firmware Feature than something, Cura could be doing...
