  1. Thank you - I normally run it with an external drive anyway, as my design stuff is cloudsynced onto this drive (so that I have the cloud backup without depending on an internet connection) - I just put both main application folder and the config folder @IRobertI mentioned onto it and did a fs junction on all systems on it - this seems to help. (Yes, I like filesystems, why does everybody ask this ;D)
  2. Hey all, I work with multiple computers distributed with one S5 connected via digitalfactory. Computer installations are Win10&Win11. My goal is to send a printjob to the printer while I am still in another country from my laptop in the hotel, come home the next day, take out the print and do another job from my local computer for small parts, etc. I had to do however some JSON modifications and custom material profiles on my main system. So I thought, "as all data (including materials) seems to be saved as .json/.material/.inst.cfg etc, why not just copying the complete cura folder to my external drive, do a new installation on my laptop and after starting it once copy all in again?". Sadly, this approach seem to have failed. Neither my customized quality profiles pop up nor my material profiles. So where else is that all saved, if not under the cura folder? How is the configuration done? Is Cura making use of the Appdata/Documents folder for any configuration or god forbid, the windows registry? What else should I have extracted from the original system to clone the complete setup?
  3. I created now my own pattern for the same purposes. Not as nice as the official one, but can be printed still with two different nozzles and you see the deviations. Center box should be exactly aligned, and then its towards the left negative deviation to be entered, to the right positive, combining x and y: -3 -1 0 2 4 -4 -2 1 3 This is for anyone wanting to use it, enjoy. xy_rect_pattern.zip
  4. Hey all, I recently joined the UM world by acquiring a used S5 (old hardware revision, updated to 8.3.1). I am very satisfied, but now started to experiment by acquiring a AA.8 and AA.25 core in combination. This creates trouble in the XY calibration, as I use the titanx from formfutura and it does not stick to the print bed when trying to use the XY calib pattern print. I did a full Z-calib and tried again with same results. Printing itself works fine with a z-offset of -.10 to -.15 (albeit with material overlap due to XY uncalibrated). I read in an older post that the pattern height is hardcoded. Can I offset it anyway somehow or is it perhaps available as a cura project file so that I can print it with a lower z-offset? Merry Christmas!
