  1. Thanks for the reply. I think we have firmware retraction and slicer retraction settings and just enable one of them should be enough. instead of changing volumetric extrusion and enable frimware retraction, enable a parameter setting in cura would be more straight forward, or maybe a cura plugin can do this. :-)
  2. It was inspired by this discussion Besides the reason mentioned in the above thread. When doing retraction, a faster retract speed drives better result. But with the same speed, when the extruder going forward, it may cause the extruder jam problem. A simple solution is to set a different retract/forward speed when doing retractions. Can we have that setting?
  3. just tried the RC6 multiple printer's function. it is good, but seems the different machine share the same start/end.gcode. Is it a bug or specific start/end.gcode for each machine is not support yet?
  4. This link is for reprap users but also contains sufficient contents for a ultimaker beginner :-) http://reprap.org/wiki/The_incomplete_reprap_beginner's_guide
  5. Since the Marlin firmware uses Arduino SD library to reach the SD card, the sd read capability is depended on the library. Quote from sd library official site "http://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/SD/" "The SD library allows for reading from and writing to SD cards, e.g.... It is built on sdfatlib by William Greiman. The library supports FAT16 and FAT32 file systems on standard SD cards and SDHC cards. It uses short 8.3 names for files." See, both SD and SDHC should be OK. But I also know many people have problems with the SD reading. Probably it is just a "card compatible" problem. And lots of sd cards on the market are not severely follow the standard interface? Just guess.
