Just posted a new design: eSherpa 2.0 outrunner. Completely new design of the famous eSherpa. With a direct drive it is more compact and much lighter (5 kilos incl. fully charged battery!;-). With attachments it can be optimized for various transportation purposes. Now it has nice features like free-wheeling, battery control and USB charger... visit on youmagine: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/esherpa-2-0-outrunner What do you think about this? Ralf

someone has noticed that the youmagine signatures no longer work? When i browse through the forum the signature of a lot members only show a ? (for a not found picture). I played around with my profile settings and didn't get the youmagine showreels to work properly... Finally i found this BBCode: [YouMagineDesign=esherpa--17] to show one design (i have only one design so this is good for me  Must every member with a youmagine signature edit his settings?

Also for me Cura 14.11 RC7 will not work on Yosemite 10.10.1: 19.11.14 14:27:21.795 Cura[80900]: GLUT Warning: glutInit being called a second time. 19.11.14 14:27:21.900 Cura[80900]: Cura Error But 14.09 still works fine for me...

The battery last for six turns. This is good for a complete "working" day in high season. But a second battery is always fully loaded at home... BTW: How can i get this youmagine link into my signature?

Yes, its printed in ABS. I printed one version in PLA but after i forgot the device in the hot sun the black telescope was heated up so much that some parts get warped... Most of the strength come from a clever construction. The two axis parts gets connected with two 5 mm steel bolts...

Since about 3 years i was thinking about a little machine which can make my life as a tandem pilot a little bit easier.. i know i have the best job in the world but there is only one bad point: carrying 25 kg stuff uphill. But since i got my UM2 i was able to print out a old dream of mine. The eSherpa I am interested to know what you guys are thinking about a 3D printable offroad electro trolley... https://www.youmagine.com/designs/esherpa--17

Ultimaker2 Feeder System - Improvements and Ideas
r2d2 replied to ian's topic in Third party products & modifications
When i was waiting for my UM2 i was following this topic and i was sure that one of extruder improvements will be one of my first prints... But since i own my UM2 i did a lot of printing.. loooong prints of about 45h each and i have to say that i never had a problem with the original feeder... the only problem i discovered that sometimes the filament is a little tangled on the reel and can blocking the feeder cause the normal way the filament has to go is really not good... So i did a quick construction which helps me a lot. Its simply a bearing, a bottle filled with about 700 gramm of water
