Ottimo!

Ciao a tutti,

why do not use a ceramic thermal coupler?
below is the datasheet of a industrial ceramic coupler:
-
By the way how do you come to an amount of 38€ ? It's only 12.5€ on the webshop?
What?
This is my cart
Thank you Markus, I'll try to drill my coupler, at least I can do some more print

I have not manipulated the hotend, is still a single block. I disassembled the extruder for the first time, when I removed the PTFE coupler.
-
The piece is deformed, presents a bottleneck in the inner part in the side that touches the nozzle, this constriction block the normal pass of the filament.
I still do not understand why I should pay € 38.75 for a consumable, after only one year of normal usage (It cost more than a filament spool)

Hi Didier,
Yes I might buy it from the shop, but I find it a tad unserious that punish first-time buyers by forcing them to buy a defective part at birth (a weakness of this kind amounts to a manufacturing defect). Especially since I should be covered under warranty, since I have not did strange experiments with my machine.
Best regards

Hello DonMilne,
I use temperature between 190 and 210 °C for my prints. And I use 230°C only for Atomic cleaning method.

Hello,
I wrote this post because in this period I use my Ultimaker 2 to create a prototype of robot and now I can't print well because my PTFE coupler is deformed. I sent 2 messages to support and 2 pm to Sander for this problem but I didn't receive answer yet. I bout my printer about one year and I use only PLA filament, and about 1,5 Kg of material until now. If Ultimaker want to consider this piece a consumable, I can't think that is acceptable time of usability for normal temperatures usage. Then I would not spend 38.75 € for a piece so fragile and I asked to have a replacement part under warranty.
Have a good day

Teo puoi scriverci come stai procedendo?

Here are my instructions for building Marlin - I've only tried them with the UMO firmware. There are tons of options you can mess with in Configuration.h and this file is very well documented and very easy to edit.
GUI METHOD
There are instructions that come with the erik zalm download (and probably all firmware versions) in the "README.md" text file.
Basically you download and install arduino ide:
http://arduino.cc/en/main/software
Then copy the sanguino software as explained in README file. Open Marlin.ino file in Arduino IDE by double clicking it (not pde file as stated in README - I think that's old). Select board as "Mega 2560" as explained in README file (white UM2 likely uses a different computer chip). Go to "file" "preferences" and select "verbose output" so you can find your hex file. Then build it by clicking the check box in the upper left corner. At the bottom you will see it compiling Marlin. At the end of this it says where the hex file is. If you are currently connected to your UM through USB you can just click "file" "upload" and you are done! But you should locate that hex file and save it somewhere along with the Configuration.h file used to create it so you can recreate the same version with maybe one change. Also you can upload the hex file using Cura in expert menu.
COMMAND LINE METHOD
Alternatively you can build Marlin with somewhat more detailed step by step instructions the command line way (which I don't prefer):

Ciao Teocreo,

Ciao

Little Robot designed with Autodesk Inventor, 24 parts, printed on Ultimaker 2. I'll must wait servo motors for the arms, but for now it is controllable via bluetooth and is capable to avoid obstacles with an ultrasonic sensor.
