Ok, thanks!

Yes I am getting the clicking sound from the feeder.. Thanks for your reply too.
-
Where should the indicator block be on the material feeder? Currently it seems like it too much and the heater block is not melting the material fast enough(standard PLA settings), I'm getting a lot of that clicking sound. Currently mine has been at the top line since I got the printer.

Temperature: Nozzle- 210 and bed is 70. Material is PLA, if I didn't say that earlier. I can slow it down some, would 50m/s be better?

I wonder what version of Cura you are using? Basis tab should have the extruder temp under Speed and Temp., unless it has been moved in one of the later versions. I cannot see it anywhere and it is err vital!
We need that, but for the moment note...
I would set your print, infill, interior wall, exterior wall speed settings to the same speed - just set the last four to 0. Whenever you change speed the pressure in the extruder changes and takes time to stabilise will cause for a short period of time some under/over extrusion which can cause artefacts to appear on the surface. If you want to go back to you settings after your problem is fixed, fine.
Personally I would set the minimum layer time to 10 secs, I think 5 is a bit low although some people get away with it.
You don't want the whole thing to print; either start and then stop or sink the model into the bed and start at the square peg round hole part.
Thanks for the suggestions, I will try them. I'm currently using 15.04 Cura.

Thanks for the response. I figured it was under-extrusion. I will post settings later today. Yes I have other filament to try.

When I run the spool of UPET that was sent with my Ultimaker2, it runs for a while then I get the heater error message in the display and told to contact Ultimaker. I turn off printer and turn back on it clears the error. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Ok, I have a heated bed, can I put tape on it and use this method for the same ABS issue?
-
you make it. from acetone and ABS filament. Its the only way it will stick. Google it. but dont make it too thin or too thick. it needs to be runny and waterlike when you are applying it. everyone has different methods of applying it. i just pour it on a tissue and rub it on the glass tring not to overlap the last bit so no buliding up any layers.
Ok, thanks.

Glue doesnt work with ABS, you need to use ABS juice. and apply it cold. and the glass should be cold too.
Never heard of it. Where can I get it?
-
Ok, seeing all these different settings, I'm using Ultimaker ABS black on the Ultimaker 2 extended with glue on the bed and still the material is not sticking to the bed. It's peeling up.
My settings:
Print temp: 250C
Bed temp: 110C
Fans: 0%
Flow: I have not adjusted.
The setting for Print temp and bed temp are from the fbrc8 support analyst. Any other suggestions wouls be helpful, as this is my time using a 3D printer.

Just parts for military projects. Yeah, I see how I can increase the internal structure in Cura now. Thanks for the feedback.

What in ABS or UPET the same colors. The PLA doesn't seem like it would hold up very well.

Is there a color or desert tan or olive green available? I work for military contractor and would like to make parts in desert tan and or olive green. Also, can you use other suppliers for material?
Prime tower not showing up
in UltiMaker Cura
Posted · Edited by Guest
I recently got an UM3 ext. I'm trying to print out the gyro using a prime tower. When the gyro is loaded into Cura 3.0 and when I go into layer view the prime tower is not showing up. I'm not sure why, any suggestions?
