Hello AreDigg! :-) I wanted to ask if you know, on flat surfaces or in any case quite stretched during the nozzle moves in the same plane, often releases the filament yarns as if colasse during the nozzle moving, the problem as well as to leave these wires if it moves on a fairly flat expanse superfce is evident in this case the surface marked dalla'ugello and that 'as if passing on this surface so filoda to leave marks! I wonder if in the section retraction there is' a value that you can modify, or you wonder if there 'a chance' when it 'these movements if the CURA you can' say instead of the entire surface atraversare to arrive at a point especially this surface rather than through it to turn around along the perfimetro object or area concerned, i know that by doing so 'the times are getting longer but surely improve printing avoiding to leave these marks on these types of surfaces! Waiting for your suggestion thank you very much! Alex Elvis3DYou can also use Autodesk Print Studio. It has some good functions for manual supports.

Hello ! :-) How did you change the firmware to run the engine with the gear as if it were a motor nema 17 direct as speed 'rotation ??? Alex Elvis3D
-
Hello Mendel! I did not understand how you managed to change the firmware to be able to run properly the engine Gear Ratio 5: 1 Planetary Gearbox High Torque Nema 17 Stepper 17HS19-1684S-PG5 ??? Could you help me ??? In the meantime, thank you very much! Alessandro RomagnoliI will be doing some more testing/refining first but I've been using it for a little over a week now with no issues what so ever. It has tons of torque and even with retraction set to 20mm it never jams or slips.
Here it is printing ColorFabb XT-CF20 with the hardened steel ed3 nozzle at 240C. I need to come up with a better mount than my makeshift openbeam frame but I'm very happy with the function so far.
Edit: I may look into selling a kit with the motor, cable extension, gears, bearings and shafts. I will probably end up making an aluminum or stainless steel frame as well instead of the printed one but the printed one seems to be holding up well so far.

Hello Mendel! I wanted to ask you something, the motor with the gearbox so that attaches like a normal Nema 17, but how did you manage to change the firmwareper get it going as a Nema 17 since I know that with the speed reducer 'is reduced enough shaft the output gear ???? Sorry to bother you ! Thank you ! Alex Elvis3DOk so here is what I have so far. This started because we want to convert our old Makerbot Replicator 2X to use a 3mm E3D-V6 hotend with stainless steel nozzles for use with carbon filled fillament (see: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/10141-nickel-plating-nozzles-for-carbon-filled-filaments-updated/)
I started off by making a drive gear type similar to printerbot's (and a few others) version. Everything is currently printed using ColorFabb XT-CF20 filament but the results so far are very promising. I am unable to make the filament "slip" and the motor skips steps before it slips so I'm pretty happy with the pressure on the filament. There is minimal marking to the filament itself. Plastic gears won't work in the long run but it serves as a good test.
I am using an 5:1 planetary stepper (http://www.omc-stepperonline.com/gear-ratio-51-planetary-gearbox-high-torque-nema-17-stepper-17hs191684spg5-p-40.html) but I may switch to a 19:1 or something in between.

Hello Robert! The exact code of the extruder motor and 'perhaps have this ?? : 42BYGHW609, you can check the exact code on Ultimaker 2 ??? Thanks so much ! AlessandroYou mean the four screws that hold it to the motor? Those are ISO 7380 M3x25 screws. Also known as "button head" screws.

Altri ultimakeristi romani, dove siete???

Ciao Teo !

Hai provato a sostituirlo e sai dove comprarlo senza prendere quello originale ?? Scusami della mia richiesta ! Hello ! The TF2K 300C is fine just to ABS but when you switch to PLA then I'll have to remove and replace the TFT 255C!
Sorry, but i guess you got it wrong...
The (so called) "TF2K 300C" combo consists of an "TFT 255C" plus an additional "I2K" wafer chip. And it works fine for PLA.
"Only for ABS" belongs to the "IPM Coupler"

If you can go to 300 in the default setup thats very practical, in 15.10.2 it was still 260.
I don't think the brass block will be the issue, you'll have to try the 3dsolex options for high temperature replacement for the PTFE.
I compiled the recent release for a max. temperature of 300°C. You will need it, if you want to verify the 300° promise from Carl...
Look for "TF2K 300C Combo"
I agree with Arjan:
i don't think that the brass block will be affected, but if you use the higher temperatures with the standard hotend, the PTFE coupler will degrade quite fast.

Hello ! What would be the version 255 c ?? Thank you ! AlessandroYes, I'm using the olsson block, jet nozzles and the 35 watt heater from 3dsolex. Think next time I need to replace a ptfe i'll try the 255 c version.

I'm still on tinker 15.10.2.
Just checked and there's >
Tinker_16.01
new menu for PID autotune (Advanced -> Preferences -> Temperature control)
No time to check now if there's the option to set the max temperature or only the PID values?

Later this month will order 'from http://3dsolex.com/'>http://3dsolex.com/'>http://3dsolex.com/'>http://3dsolex.com/ cartridge heating by 35W STEEL COUPLER V2 and they told me' more resistant! The new cartridge from 35w with the new firmware that allows me to go over 260 degrees should be able to print with filaments using temperatures more 'high with no problems! You have already 'bought something from http://3dsolex.com/ ??? Thank you ! Alessandro for the PTFE.

Hello ! I have installed this new firmware for Ultimaker 2 at this web address https://github.com/TinkerGnome/Ultimaker2Marlin/releases! The loaded on Ultimaker 2 and already 'display by turning the wheel I arrived at 300, then maybe not arrive' never at that temperature limit, then these groups just can Lancero 'print at about 270 degrees! But Ultimaker 2 if born with a nozzle temperature of 260 degrees Max does not run the risk even though this new firmware allows it to ruin the block brass ??? What do you say ?? Thank you ! AlessandroI print ABS at 270 with the E3Dv6 on an UM2.
As far as I know you need to change the max temp in configuration.h in Marlin, (search for something like #define heater maxtemp) then recompile, at least thats how I did it... I'm not aware of changing the max temp via display in tinker firmware ( sorry @tinkergnome if I missed this

Rigs Hello! But going beyond the 260-degree nozzle you never run the risk of damaging the Ultimaker 2 for ecessiva temperature as originally to go up 'to 260 degrees ?? Alessandro
Don't worry :)I print at 280° PC/ABS without damages.
Only fine particles to feed my future cancer

Hello guys ! Does anyone know if there perhaps have 'for Ultimaker 2 firmware that allows the nozzle to go beyond the 260 degree heat ??? thanks Alessandro

Happy printing

Ciao guglielmo !
