  1. Here is a picture of the board. Wires for X go to the right side of the machine (bottom in the pic), wires for Y go to the left (top in the pic). I didn't remove these during installation of the upgrade--they're in the same spot they always have been. Any ideas?
  2. My next step is to pull out the board again, I will check. I may need to upload a pic b/c I'm fairly clueless with electronics.
  3. Update: I tried the old firmware (Ultimaker 2) just to see if it would fix the problem, but no dice.
  4. I just installed the extrusion upgrade kit to my Ultimaker 2. Everything seemed to go normally, and I updated the firmware to 2+ as instructed. Now, when the machine starts up the build plate leveling process, it is clear that the X and Y motors have switched. The machine moves the extruder to the left side of the build plate, centered front to back (see the picture). Of course it should move to the back, centered left-right. Then, the "X or Y switch broken" message comes up (since the extruder has clearly not engaged the switch). I didn't remove the motor wires during installation of the upgrade as it was not required. Should I now go back in and swap the X and Y motor wires anyway? I'm worried about creating other issues.
  5. I had the same problem with the white filament recently. You may find that in certain spots, it is easy to snap the filament between your fingers.
