  1. Thx, I'll try reading it through.
  2. Thx - do you have to have a link to a review/description ?
  3. OK, it IS an older Lenovo stationary machine I use to do the printing - I'll try see the USB-version. I'll try the link too and report back - thx !
  4. No cure at all - the same chaotic rebooting of the printer 4-6 times on top of each other and NO reaction on the printer when trying to "control" the printer by the "Monitor"-tab - I think the update is useless. No wonder people talks so much about "Raspberry Pi" - when do the Cura poeple wake up and do something about it ?
  5. Oh, just a moment ... I have some questions: 1) What should I backup BEFORE I install the new drivers ? 2) Are these nes drivers ONLY for laptops - I use a stationary machine !
  6. > ShopGeezer Thx for the detailed infos - I will try the link !
  7. I think all these conditions can be taken into account ... and I'll try do that BEFORE I concider any Raspberry Pi solution ... but thx for all the infos !
  8. Don't misundersand me - I'm just trying to find out where your experience is - the Raspberry Pi, Windows priority system or maybe both
  9. I think adding a Raspberry Pi too adds a lot of "failure points", a lot of extra wires and - to me - unknown stuff - I HATE it, when some failure arraise and I know too little of the involved HW/SW ! If Cura has priority I think it will not be a problem - do you have other experiences with prioritaty in Windows ?
  10. > dxp ??? the goal is to print via USB and get rid of this UN-stable SD-card-system > 3in1 Frame Re-seat ... I don't think some loose plugs are the cause - the printing is working OK when initiated via SD-card. I too have the latest TinyMachines SW so I don't think it's a good idea to go "BACK# to some SW from Creality at all !
  11. The printer turnes ON and makes it's startup melody when the COMPUTER is turned ON ... maybe that's OK but ... When Cura 4.2.0 is started it seems to reboot 2 or 3 times ... the startup melody is palyed 2 or 3 times ... it sounds likes on top of the last melody .... what is rhis mess ? I can set up the heating temps in Cura but it has no effect on the printer ... it never heat up ! Something must be wrong with Cura 4.2.0 OR the combination Cura 4.2.0 and SW from TinyMachines - any experience here ?
  12. It seems to me that my printer CR10s PRO is conpletely UN-controlable by Cura 4.2.0 ! It's my first try to print by USB so I don't know if the printer itself should be ON or OFF - do you know ? I have just updated to the latest version of SW from TinyMachines and when the computer (and thentoo the printer) is left idle it ends up with a warning screen that temp did NOT raise in time so check the system - but computer and printer should just stay idle ! It seems like a mess to control the printer and the printing from the computer - I think thats the purpose by the USB link - right ? What is wrong here ?
  13. I've noticed that at some of my models - my own made in Fusion 360 and some downloaded from Thingiverse, I have som totally wild randon single shots leaving the model and printing for a short while in midair extruding 10-12 mm material and then going back to printing the model again ! My own models from Fusion 36 I have analyzed and there is NOTHING to print where thewild shot is made ! I'm sure it can be found in the G-code - but oh, where and what to look for - it would be better to find the couse ! What is causing this problem and how can I avoid it ?
  14. I have made a box in Fusion 360 with 1.5mm thin VERTICAL walls. I have set the infil to 30%. When I print the box I can see the inner and outer part of the wall is printed by just moving along the "length" of the wall. The inner ond outer part of the wall is so CLOSE that it could be "closed" with just an extra "middle wall" printed "length-wise" BUT --- instead it is printed with some very short movements between the inner and the outer wall taking A LOT OF TIME - maybe 20 times longer ! How can I FORCE that "middle wall" connecting the inner and outer walls tp be printed "length-wise" instead of as an infill ?
  15. Thx, I'll try construct a figure like that and est it
  16. >> geert_2 My printer has that functionality but I can't know WHEN it stopped pring at one spot and wants to "jump" to another stop to start printing there - BTW it's a CR10s PRO printer.
  17. >> geert_2 Thx, yeah, I have to experiment much more with the settings for now ... I wont go into the gcode at this point ... for me it's just some confusing munbers 🙂
  18. I've been into this 3D printing for 2-3 weeks and I'm not PRO in Gcode - I have to stick to the parameters/settings in the Cura profiles in the first place
  19. Yeah, you're right ... patience would help a lot here 😉 But I have to use the printer for these patterns for moulding - and they are often big ones - so I'm very keen to get around these very high printing times 20-30 hours - it's un bareable :-(( My printer (CR10s PRO) CAN do printing speeds 200-220 - I have done that on many smaller prints, AND ... the problem I noticed IN BOTH CASES - I beleave - is this very, very high speed - NOT my printing speed - but the speed i moves from where it FINISHES an extrusion to where it starts again - I THOUGHT it was "Travel speed" in the settings - but it CAN'T because it was set to 120mm/s and very, very much higher than my printing speed 210mm/s ... so What is this "Jumping speed" called in the settings ?
  20. I have a pattern for moulding af wheel - 290mm diameter and various thickness from 5 to 30mm. - drawn in Fusion360. Cura estimates printing time to around 48 hours at 60mm/s ... and I'm sick and tired of waiting so long so I print at 60 (first layer and them 200-220mm/s First time I printed I noticed an OFFSET of 10mm after 20-30 layers and I THOUGHT it was a cable cought by some brackets at the printer - so I had to start all over ! Second time I used same method (slowly at the first layer and then full speed 200-220mm/s ! after some time I notived a very loud BANG because the extruder collided with some of the printed material from one printing position to the next - meaning it finishes printing at one spot and the it will move to the next spot and start printing - I beleave it "traveled" 200 mm at a very very hig speed and then BANG and a new OFFSET came up ! (I beleave the offset comes up because the stepper motor looses some steps in the collision) What are this "travel speed" called i Cura - it's NOT "Travel speed" because it's set to 120 mm/s in my profile - way LOWER than my printing speed ! (Note the dimension mm/s ... maybe it should be % instead ?)
  21. OK, I will do that in futura postings.
  22. Now I found a video on YouTube explaining a little of the Cura settings - but I still don't get it right ... Cure shows exactly the support where you would exspect it by the red color. take a look here - it's red too on the similar faces in the symmetry. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap0XTBN0ykvEhKxUL19pBDPwmU53Cg I tried to set up for this experimental TREE support system - WHAT this time it IS symmetric ! look here whatCuro generated: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap0XTBN0ykvEhKxV8nyP3a2Q7sbr6g The support is NOT touching the model and SOMETIMES it's NOT symmetric like the model and not ALL red faces are supported ... I don't get it ! Any ideas ?
