Hi,

my hotend fan recently started dying and i need a replacement (the small one between the 2 big ones for part cooling). I searched in forums and came to the conclusion to get the MC25060V1-000U-A99 but the problem is the fan is not getting produced anymore and no webside has the fan in stock (mouser, tme, rs-online, digikey). 

 

My question: Where can i get a suitable fan quick in germany?

[Broken Temperature Sensor ?]

Hi,

i wanted some feedback for my problem analysis.

 

Printer: Ultimaker 2+ with about 8000h print hours

 

Everything was printing fine until suddenly i let the printer sit for holidays. When i came back nothing would stick to the PEI plate. I cleaned and tested everything. ( Extruder cleaned, build plate cleaned, new Nozzle).
I noticed the filament did not flow fast enough at the start of the print so i started turning the flow rate up and heard the extruder could not keep up. Following that i upped the temperature of the nozzle in 5°C steps until i hat 20°C+ and it suddenly worked. With that knowledge i suspect the temperature sensor is broken. I measured the thread of the block (with out a nozzle) a difference of 30°C. (Printer shows 210° reality 180°C) 

 

Is my conclusion right that the sensor is broken? Is this normal that this happens? Is it possible to just change the sensor ?

I heard about the firmware but I am not quite sure if I should install it because ia am maybe a bit scared installing a third party firmware on the printer. 

But I guess if you from Ultimaker is recommending it it would be fine.

[UM2+ Firmware Update Problems]

Hi

recently I tried to update the firmware on my UM2+ by connecting my Laptop. I got into the menu and just pressed update and it all went fine and it said complete. But when I looked on the printer at the version it still said 3.3 and updated on "older date". 

Maybe the 3.3 is the newest firmware for the printer but I have troubles to find out what actually the newest firmware is. It isn't documented on the homepage or cure under printer.

Do i have i problem updating or is everything ok and it is just not properly conveyed by the updater.

[Feature Request - Restart Button]

Hi,

I feel like a restart button would be nice at the printer for a print. Since I don't always get a perfect first layer.

Problem: When the first layer isn't perfect and I need to restart the print I need to aboard and search on the SD card for the file and meanwhile the printer is doing its best to cool down.

 

Solution:
How it could/should work: Press Restart->Printer Stops and Homes + keeps preheated-> You remove the Material-> Press OK or Ready and it restarts

 

I don't know If I am the only one needing this feature or if there is already a solution I didn't see.
