  1. Hi Mari, No worries, thanks for replying. The fact is that I just moved to a new Macbook a week ago and after moving all the data, including Cura, from the old one, it just started working again. Don't know how or what happened, but I'm back on track now. I guess the gods of 3d printing heard my prayers 🙂 Thanks again and good luck with everything. Alex.
  2. Hi! I'm trying to run Cura 5.2.2 on my Macbook and after the loading screen shows up, the user interface just doesn't want to load - tried rebooting, reinstalling Cura, no change - older version 4.12 runs ok. OSX version: 11.6.7 Big Sur - by my understanding 5.2.2 is supported on this osx version, worth noting that it used to work until a couple of weeks ago. Can someone suggest a resolution? Thanks! Alex
  3. I already tried this, because with the retraction set to any + value, after resuming, it used to purge some filament and I couldn’t move fast enough to remove it from the nozzle. Even with the retraction set to 0, it still seems a height issue. Last night I tried using the filament change script and it somehow resumes to the correct layer height, since this script does not adjust the Z. The only tricky thing with this is cleaning the nozzle.
  4. Hi guys. I'm pretty new to 3d printing so please forgive the noobiness. I'm trying to use the pause at layer height script in Cura 4.3.0 (beta) (same issue with the 4.2.1). After checking some threads here I noticed that the most common issue with pause at height was that after resuming printing the Z was 1mm higher than it should have been. I've checked my gcode and it didn't seem to do this, but, in fact, my issue is the exactly opposite. After resuming, the nozzle is somehow going inside the last layer melting it and trying to extrude (but of course it becomes a big mess). Attached gcode, attached pic of the 3d printed failure. I can also attach the project or if anyone has any idea what is going on here I would appreciate it a lot...this is giving me headaches for the last couple of days. p.s. my printer is Cr. Ender 3.
