    Management Console 502 Bad Gateway

    That was the solution....Thank you 👍. I would never have thought of it because the printer worked with 8.2.1 for a long time without any problems. Software.....

    Hello,

     

    Since the last restart, our Ultimaker S5 can no longer connect to the network.
    When I click on the Management Console, I get the following. (Screenshot)
    I get to the temperature graph, the API.
    Already tried:
    SW update via USB stick, several restarts.
    The icon for the network connection also keeps changing back and forth every 5 seconds. (Picture with my Phone from Display)
    I rule out that it is the network, as the management console no longer works via the printer's WLAN hotspot.
    A connection to digital Faktory cannot be established either.
    Does anyone know this problem / can help?

    First of all, thanks to Dustin for taking constructive note of our feedback. Finally, I would like to say that I always find it problematic to simply remove features from an industrial device. (Especially without explicitly pointing it out for people to think about) Sometimes whole processes are adapted to this. For example, instructions are created, etc. For me personally, for example, it is also important to be independent of third party services when needed. As long as everything works, everything is good..but if, for example, the Ultimaker server goes down, nothing works. (Except for USB printing). I'm not complaining here, but pointing out that especially in the industry such things have to be seen from a different perspective than, for example, in the private 3D printer sector. Therefore, my opinion: Additions are of course desirable, deletions of functionality I see very critical because this can cause a lot of effort and conversions.

     

    And I think Ultimaker is actually positioning itself in the industrial segment with these printers.

    I would have even appreciated to extend the local web server.

    I also don't like that everything was moved to the digital factory when I updated to 8.1.0.0. Maintenance can no longer be done via app, which I liked. I don't like the trend of connecting all functions to the internet. I still want to have a full local web server. So I agree 100% with rachael7

    Danke für die Infos 👍.

    So habe ich es mir fast gedacht. Das macht es natürlich wieder unpraktikabel. (Für uns zumindest)

    Denn es untergräbt ja das "alles selbst und unabhängig von Dienstleistern anfertigen".

    habe nun mehr mals über das Metall Upgrad Kit gelesen.

    Wie funktioniet das Ganze?

    - Ganz "normal" drucken und dann?

     

    habe was von sintern gelesen...aber verstehe nicht ganz wie das bei einem Druckteil funktionieren soll.

    Wird das Ganze beim Sintern normal ncht unter Druck gesetzt?

     

    Villeicht hat sich ja der ein oder andere auch schon damit beschäftigt.

    Langzeit Test UMS5

    Hallo zusammen,

     

    wir haben ein UMS5 Bundle.

     

    Stehe nun vor der Entscheidung ein Serie selbst zu drucken oder das Teil zu vergeben.

    Momentan wird der Drucker für Prototypen, Halterung etc genutzt.

    Er ist somit auch mal 1 oder 2 Wochen aus. -> die Druckstunden halten sich in Grenzen.

     

    Wie sieht eure langzeit Erfahrung mit dem Bundle aus?

    Hat jemand eine Liste/Doku was er nach wie vielen Stunden an Ersatzteilen brauchte?

    Ich musste tatsächlich noch gar nichts austauschen. Wird aber auch immer gründlich gereinig und geschmiert.

     

    Wäre sehr hilfreich um die zusätzlichen Kosten für eine Serie besser einschätzen zu können.

    Ein Objekt 2 Farben

    Hallo zusammen,

     

    ich habe ein Simples Objekt. Bei diesem möchte ich gerne die richtige Seite markieren.

     

    -> Letzte / Letzte 2 Schichten des Objekts in weiß statt schwarz drucken.

     

    Nun zu meiner Frage:

    Wie mache ich das mit dem geringsten Aufwand?

    Habe früher S3D benutzt. Da war das simpel.

     

    Ich habe ein Ultimaker S5 mit Air Manager und Material Station. Sprich Harware technisch dafür ein Traum.

    Slicer = Ultimaker Cura

     

    Gibt es keine einfache "Filamentwechsel ab Höhe "oder PrintCorewechel ab Höhe " Funktion?

    Mir ist bewusst dass ich das Objekt auch im CAD teilen kann, in Cura übereinander setzten und für das den einen und für das andere Teil den anderen Core auswählen kann.....

    aber im Ernst dass kann es doch nicht sein oder?

     

    Ich will ja nur sagen ab dieser Höhe nimmst du dieses Filament. Das sollte ja mit Material Station und 2 Köpfen ohne Probleme machbar sein.

     

    Ein ähnliches Problem habe ich ja auch wen ich Teile des Objekts z.b massiv und den Rest mit 20% Infill drucken will.

     

    Wie handhabt ihr sowas?

    Yesterday I printed PLA with breakaway. The print was nearly finished when I watched the printer. An hour later i wanted to take the print form the buildplate.

    I wondered why the air manager fan is still running.... Then I saw that the print core with PLA was still "orange" and had 175°C. I dont know why but the printer have hold this temperature after the print was finished.


    This happend to me the first time. Anybody an Idea why?

    Another not so nice thing that happend top me just jet: (UMS5 Bundle)

     

    Printed something with PLA black Nozzle 0,4.

    Removed the print. (Filament stays in tube but 3cm away from Print Core)

    I had to print something with the same filament but another nozzle...So:

    -Click change print core

    -Changed the print core to 0.25

    -Started print

     

    but...Last time the Print Core 0.25mm was used with white filament...and in this constellationthe printer is not priming/cleaning the nozzle

    Danke euch zwei. Ja würde mich diesbezüglich nichtmal als Amateur bezeichnen...Aber konnte mir den Zussamenhang nicht eklären. Daher bin ich auch nicht auf die Tower gekommen. Denn für mich steht da ja nix über. Aber bin ja offensichtlich nich alleine damit. Immerhin bekommt man hier doch ab und zu konstruktive Hilfe. 👍

    Will es eigentlich nicht immer explizit blocken müssen sondern so einstellen dass es an Stellen wie ich gezeigt habe (kein Stützmaterial nötug/sinnvoll da ja kein Überhang) auch kein Stützmaterial generiert

     

    Da steht ja wirklich nichts über. Stützmaterial im Loch passt ja... aber außen ist es unnütz

    Das war es tatsächlich danke dir!. Daran habe ich überhaupt nicht gedacht...Warum meint Cura hier einen Tower setzen zu müssen?! Tower sind ja prinzpiell gut wenn etwas in der Luft hängt. Aber da hängt ja nichts außerhalb der Geometrie in der Luft

    Hallo,

     

    ich drucke in letzter Zeit viel mit dem Engineering Profil in Cura.

    Bin mit der Mashaltigkeit etc auch sehr zufieren. (Viel funktionale Prototypen/Gehäuse).

     

    Nur druckt es bei manchen Sachen echt schwachsinniges Stützmaterial welches auch die Oberfläche verunstaltet.

    So etwas kenny ich von z.B simplify 3d welches ich früher nutzte nicht.

     

    habt ihr das auch?

    Woran dreht ihr um das zu vermeiden?

    S5 Autodisconnect completely from WIFI

    Okey. But sadly this is no Option for me. I use a FritzBox with some Mesh repeaters. This works fine. Everywhere are the same SSID and I dont have to switch between WIfis. Every other (about  20 Devices) works fine with this. So I dont want to change a nice working System just because of one Device is not able to handle this. If you know what I mean. So I have to use LAN till this is been fixed.
