  2. Thanks @ Enigma_M4, I already try to splice the filament, but it is a long operation.
If I print for me in my hours I can this things, but when I print in the office I shouldn't take too hours for splice many pieces of filament, I tried but after 2 hours I had realized more or less only one spools of filaments , and in many joints the filament wasn't good.
I hope that someone will create a tool for automatic splice the filament soon.

Depending on the material it can also be used for the periodic print core cleaning (light PLA).

Thanks for reply, but the material is CPE for example or Tough PLA, and there are many meter of filament, more than one spool.

Usually I don't print with PLA, I prefer more technical material.

I think that one option could be, insert the pieces of filament after disconnect the material station directly in the infeeder in the back of the printer for print a small parts.
    What do you think about?

  4. HI, I use the Ultimaker S5 pro bundle since one year, and now I have many pieces of filament of the same material.
The pieces are more or less 2 meter long.
I'm sure that I cluster the piece of filament i can create a new spool ore more. Exist the possibility of use this pieces without weld the pieces?
Otherwise exist one sicure method of weld the pieces?
I tried to weld, but isn't easy, and I fear that the filament could broke into material station and damage it.

  6. Hi, I have a S5 pro bundle and I would save the printing data from the printer.

I would collect the quantity and type material I have printed from direct link with printer.
If I save the data from report through my account I don't see the column "job_material_grams_1" and "printer_material_grams_1" ecc.

If I save the report and I open it in Excel, I can see many columns, and for me is not clear what are all columns.

Exist a guide for explain the value for columns?

For example going to filter the column "status" with finish, I have all print that was finished correctly, but I don't understand what columns must I see for take the weight.

I attached the example .CSV report with only the title of the columns, because I don't know if there are non-shareable data.
    Thanks

  7. Hi, form my project "automatic shutters" I have studied a motor gearbox very cheap and the case is printed with S5 in CPE+. https://youtu.be/B2EWamvndWk

In the same time I have modify the baby motor with two motor and a new battery pack with lithium cells, but one of gear in a gearbox was broken and I trying to print it with technical different material, but in final I did a mix with a print gear and a metal gear. https://youtu.be/WH3fH85vcqo

  9. Thanks for your reply.

I think that the system used for see the "spaghetti" ( I'm Italian and I like pasta), is a free application can you manage through the code for check everything's, in this case the "spagetti".

I think that this idea is very interesting and that push the big companies to adopt a vision software for check the correct print.
I hope that soon we will come to print with all material in the super easy mode.

  10. Yes, I think that the PVA have absorbed a lot of water though the spool is staying always in material station.

I will order a vacuum kit for PVA and other material. I read in this forum that is more correct put in the material station the PVA material only if will be used.

For clean the print core B-B

I see the message that the S5 tell me, and tell that I can used two tipe of material or PLA or clean filament, but I remember that the printer vendor was very clear that the B-B print core is only made for PVA. It is not possible to extrude the PLA otherwise it will be ruined.

  11. Thanks for reply.

Yes I used cura 4.9, in fact before start print I seen the PVA not in correct position, but when the PVA was arrived in position not worked very well.

I thinks that there are 2 problems. The first the bug on cura 4.9 and the second the print core B-B

  12. Hi, during the last print with S5 with material station and air manager, I have been some problems with print core B-B for PVA material.
The PVA didn't out very well for the firs time so I tried to reprint the piece, after 4 hours the printers was stopped with one error (https://support.ultimaker.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011706239-ER65-Flow-sensor-error), but after check the error the printer have finish the piece correctly.

Now, I want clean the print core B-B, but I don't sure that I can used the PLA material in this print core.

How I can clean the print core B-B? I can used PVA material or PLA?

    thanks

    Marco
