I'm coming from superslicer, which I would still be using but the latest version has a pretty huge crashing issue which is affecting my work, so I thought I'd go and try out cura 5 (as I haven't been using cura for... about 2 years now I think).
It's not been too bad. Prints have had some issues but I think it's mostly just getting the last few settings dialled in. I may actually have gotten my z-seam slightly better than what I had on superslicer.... except...
On models with no corners (rounded shapes etc) I prefer using the superslicer setting of 'scattered' for z-seams, as it randomly scatters the seam. Much better looking than having vertical lines up smooth curved surfaces.
But on this test model... 'random' seams have ended up being completely non-random. They appear as vertical lines?
Is there a fix, or a plugin or something, to improve this? I assume it's a bug, as it's completly non-random.
