  1. Hi, I simply want to print a 2mm wall circular tube drawn with Freecad and exported as 3mf. Cura does 2 or 3 filament retractions at every layer. Why??? It really doesn't need any retractions to squirt some plastic in a circle! Generally with diverse projects I notice Cura does endless pointless retractions all over the place, and generally ruins the output with seams, and eventually gums up the hotend as a side effect. Yes, I could mess around with wiping, and all the other dozens of settings that might affect retractions. All of these barely help at all unless you force them into a state where some of these settings are marked red. Further, anything other than standard settings detract from getting on with producing usable output. (I didn't buy a 3d printer for playing, but for printing.) It seems like nothing can stop Cura regularly retracting the filament for no explicable reason...? MicroscopeOccular.3mf
  2. Hello, Correct the default printspeed is explicitely defined as 80, but the travel speed is defined as 200 mm/s. That's the setting "Speed->Travel speed". I have modified the Ender 6 printer definition file to default this to 150 and now everything is fine, that is at least until the next Cura update... Kind regards, Peter
  3. Hello I am using Cura 5.2.1 with an Ender 6 and the travel speed of 200 mm/s is just way too fast. The printer squeals loudly and almost tries to jump off the table. Yes, the printer can manage this speed just about, but this is not a realistic value. Could whoever is responsible for the default Ender-6 printer profiles please set this setting to no more than 150mm/s. Thank you.
