  1. My usual speed is 50mm/s on a UM1. When I speed up to 100mm/s, there is a significant under-extrusion. I need to increase the temperature of nozzle (I am using PLA) to improve the under-extrusion. When the temperature is increased to 245C, the under-extrusion is much better. But I dare not to further increase the temperature for safety sake. Is there anything I can do in order to print in high speed? Thank you.
  2. Cura is great. But if I want more control with other slicers, which one is the best? Thanks.
  3. Is it a hardware limitation? Any chance to add this feature back in the near future? Thanks.
  4. Someone told me it is not supported. Is it true? Thanks.
  5. Yes, it is interesting to see side by side if 1.75mm filament works better on a Ultimaker.
  6. Bingo! It is a cooling issue. After I lowered the nozzle temperature and adjusting the cooling fan duct, the output is much better. I was using PLA. Thanks for all the inputs.
  7. Is there any guideline to calibrate the flow % of filament? Thanks. My problem is when printing in 0.05mm layer height, it seems the printer output too much filament. The symptom is the surface facing Y=0 is smooth, the surface facing Y=200 is very rough. It seems to me that there is excessive filament was output and left on the surface facing Y=200. Any input is much welcome.
  8. Does Ultimaker support Microsoft 3D Builder for Windows 8.1? Thanks.
  9. The standard nozzle diameter is 0.4mm. Can I change to a smaller one, say 0.3mm or 0.2mm, to improve the output quality? The print-out time will be longer proportionally? Thanks.
  10. Thank you. I shall definitely check the site printbl.com. BTW, I live in Hong Kong.
  11. Can I use 3.0mm PLA instead of 2.85mm PLA being sold in the UM store? Do I need to recalibrate the printer? Thanks.
