Yeah still the same thing. I am wondering if I should contact support directly. Anybody else having this issue?

Alright removed and checked alignment. I also went ahead and Fixed my settings. I slowed down my printing and took the layer height down a bit to make sure I was not forcing too much filament through at once. Going to run it again.

Yeah I used the grease. I may remove the feeder and reattach it just to make sure its aligned properly.

So I recently upgraded my ultimaker 2 to the 2+ and now I am getting a loud popping/clicking sound from the feeder when I am printing. It does not happen all the time just once in a while. It reminds me of the when the filament would slip on the ultimaker 2 but a lot louder. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot for the help. It turns out I was doing it correctly...I just accidentally reversed one of the pulleys the first time I did it so there was like a half inch gap on one side. It fell off when I first did it.

Maybe this helps. This it's how it's done on an umo+. On um2 it's almost the same.
Yeah this is pretty much what I got from the upgrade video. It's very vague. I hate that I don't really understand it what's going on with this. I wish there was something that explained it in more detail.

I recently updated my ultimaker 2 to the 2+ Now I am having trouble printing round circles. I was really confused on the aligning the axles portion of the video and the written tutorial. Maybe I did it wrong and that's the issue? I'm not really sure. Just know I can't figure it out. I cab upload some pictures if needed. Any help would be great.

I have been working on a youtube show called Logos to Life for the past year and my ultimaker 2 has been right in the center of these videos. I have posted a few of the episodes here, but it's been a long time since I had a chance to come back and post more. I really fell in love with this forum last year, so I wanted to make sure to get back here and share these with you guys. Anyway, here are the videos I have done this year.

I feel like it has been a really long time since I posted. I have not forgotten about you guys. I have just been deep in the process of developing a new youtube show using my Ulitmaker 2 and the logos of different youtube personalities.
It started with my cinemassacre 3d print that I did as a fan (which I shared here several months back) and has blossomed into a fun series about developing 3d prints. I have several other logos that I am already working on and hope to get more youtubers involved. I'll keep you guys updated if you are interested.

You read my mind and I don't know why I had not checked this before. One of the leads had come out of the connector right above the print head. The fan is spinning away now! I am hoping this was my problem the whole time. Putting it all back together now.

The main fan on the back should be on all the time right? Cause mine is off. and I am never seeing it turn on at all.

Yeah My nozzle is extremely clean. I cleaned it out several times.
I tried to pull the sensor out when I had it all apart and it is for sure stuck in there.
My teflon coupler looked pretty bad and I had trouble trying ot push filament through by hand. I will replace this for sure regardless of if there is anything else wrong.
Is there anywhere to order parts in the US? I know they can probably get me one, but I kind of need to fix this faster than waiting for an overseas part.
Thanks for the info. I have literally never really had any issues with my printer up until now. I had a couple clogged nozzles but that was easy. This is getting frustrating.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the temperature using that method tomorrow. If that's fine I will for sure get another coupler as my next step. I'll update if neither of those things work. I really need to get this fixed sooner than later.

I have had my ultimaker 2 for almost a year now and have completed hundreds of prints on it and it has always worked amzingly. Once I figured out the settings and how to tweak it, I have not had many issues.
Within the last couple weeks I have started to have some bad issues with my printer stringing and now really bad underextrustion to where I can't even finish a print.
This is what the stringing looks like
I used the sames settings I had been printing that piece with before.
After several failed prints, I decided to investigate a little futher and completely took apart the print head. I cleaned everything out and made sure everything looked good. I even drilled out the white plastic piece a little as one person suggested on another board if it was tight. I noticed when I was in there that my temperature sensor is completely stuck like in this thread.

Now all it is doing is under extruding everything. Like in this image
Any suggestions on what I should do would be great. I need my printer back as I use it for business. Thanks.

Alex_3D. Bravo man. Not to discredit anyone here, but that is probably the best 3d print I have seen in this thread. The paint job and everything about it is top notch. Amazing!

I modeled and printed the logo from cinemassacre.com. My plan is to give this print to the owner of the site at the end of the week at a convention in Seattle. I will post making of time lapse videos next week sometime. Let me know what you guys think.

Finally got around to painting my coca cola logo. I wanted to keep the colors simple to get that unmistakable coca cola feeling.

@pm_dude I use a really simple 5 step process. I know 5 steps sounds like a lot, but it's a fast, simple and clean way to make a mesh from a logo and print it. I use illustrator and 3ds Max. Other modeling packages might be compatible with illustrator files, but I'm not sure.
1. I start with finding a nice high res jpg image of the desired logo I want. This works best with uncomplicated logos like the coca cola one. Lower res images work ok too, but I try to find the highest resolution so I don't have to clean up the logo in illustrator or max.
2. Next I open up the file in illustrator, click on the image once and live trace will appear at the top. Hit the live trace button once. There are settings you can mess with while using live trace, but I always just use the default. With a high res image, the default settings usually outline the logo flawlessly.
3. Save the image as and .ai file, but make sure to use legacy and select illustrator 8. I have found this works the best for importing into max.
4. Import the illustrator file into 3ds max. You now have a flat spline that you can ad an extrude modifier to.
5. Once you extrude your logo in max , you can export as an .stl file or further edit it in max i.e. adding a back to a logo that has letters that would fall apart when printing.
6...I think all of us know what to do with the .stl file next lol.
I use this as a simple way to make fun prints to give to people. I love printing these because they end up being flat and thus unlikely to fail as easily. Also since the process is so easy, I can be printing almost almost any logo I want within a few minutes.

This is my latest print. My Nephew loves coca cola memorabilia, so I decided to make him a sign. I think I will paint it before I give it to him. I'll try to post pics after I paint it.

I am loving the quality of that print. I have not managed to get anything that clean from my printer yet. The slower I make my printer, the the better it seems to get though.

@Blizz Awesome! My wife loves hers. She is a hit at work with all the things I have been printing. Somehow she has gotten me to print more things for her than I have for myself lol. In fact she has an iphone case printing as we speak.
I have been putting a raft under everything lately. I seem to have a better print success with it in place. Especially with small stuff. Sucks that it wastes extra filament though. I might try a different surface soon.
Did you end up with a nice working gear heart?
Loud popping from the feeder after Ultimaker 2+ upgrade

Alright after working on this all day I figured out that when I installed the feeder I pushed the little plastic gear on the feeder motor back. I did not even realize that it would move. So the loud popping noise was the small gear slipping off of the big one because it was not touching it all the way. Hopefully this can help someone else. Maybe I was the only dumb one haha.
