  1. RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. This is the easiest solution. Not sure what the problem is exactly, but it definitely has to do with Cura "looking" for/to any networked drives you might have... some Adobe products have that same problem, and this is the only/same solution, because these companies own their own markets, and it's disgusting.
  2. To follow up: This must be exactly it! I'm opening Cura "as administrator" now, and it seems to be working fine. Thank you!
  3. I do have mapped network drives! I'll check this out and report back.
  4. Hmmm.. ok. Maybe, but it surely isn't antivirus (I only use windows defender). Thanks for the response. Anyone else have ideas?
  5. New to Cura, heard it was the best. Unfortunately, the program is unreasonably slow to open. Take about 1min. When finally open, most of the program operates well, EXCEPT when opening the "preferences" options dialog... It literally take 1-2 minutes! Once that's open, it's another painful few moments to get the "materials" or "profiles" sections open. Obviously, this is very frustrating and time consuming for a first time user who's trying to dial in settings. What is going on?? There's no way this is the top 3d printing slicer software. And before you ask, here are my computer specs: Windows 10 AMD 5900x 64GB DDR4 RTX 3080ti All Cura related software is on a Samsung 970EVO SSD ... so it's not the computer.
