Hi! Please help me understand how to use CuraEngine: https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine/

I am trying to use CuraEngine to calculate the print time and the total material used for printing an object.

Here is a sample output from my test runs:

$ ./build/CuraEngine -v -o "output/test.gcode" "object.stl"
...
Wrote layers in  0.38s.
Total time elapsed  0.46s.
maxObjectHeight : 3000
Print time: 1955
Filament: 3126

Questions:

  • Does the Print time mean the total time to print an object? Is this in seconds?
  • Does the Filament mean the total material used to print an object? Is this in millimeters?
  • How do I set additional options like infill, material type, print speed?
