Extrusion problem

Hi, I just want to share my experience in case someone had the same problem.

I couldn't understand why the feeder grinded so much the filament, and then stoped pushing it into the head.

The automatic set up in cura, or in the firmware, made the feeder going too fast. The consequence was making a gap in the filament,  then the feeder could't grab it anymore. The filament stopped to be fed and the print was full of empty slices.

Solving the problem was to go in Cura to "Machine" > "set up Machine"> "number of steps for 1mm of filament", and set it up to 150. (I translated it from french, so could differ a bit in the software).

"Machine" > "réglages Machine"> "nombre de pas pour 1 mm de filament"
