Hi all,

Do you know by any chance sizopreg?

I stumbled upon this new material while looking for large pla plates: it's a bio composite between pla and jute, developed in the Netherlands by Zwartz.

Yesterday I got me some samples and it turns out that it has the special gift like any pla that comes out of the printer.

And of course I went to work with it as soon as I got it.

I put the kettle on the stove to have some boiling water, dropped it on the plate and started modeling it in a more abstract way, resulting in this piece so far:

I'm prolly going to work on it some more today,

but this shows promise towards divers fields, both in design and art there are many possibilities without the need for expensive modeling tools, just some boiled water does the trick :-)
