Hello, I'm new here.

I'm 48 years old and come from Zwettl, which is in the northern part of Austria.

First of all I want to thank you for providing your knowledge and posting here. This was a good start for me with my new Ultimaker :D

I ordered it on 1st of Oct and it arrived 10 days later. I had no problem assembling it.

In the meantime I had to replace the nozzle brass pipe by a "lathe converted" M6 screw. Then I connected the z-limit switch to the power on/off switch so the Ultimaker can power off itself by driving down the bed.

And these days I'm testing, calibrating, testing, calibrating,...

I'll keep you informed,

best wishes

Rudi

I like that simple solution on the on/off... Might have to implement that... It makes sense too because you wouldn't want to have the printer head hot and "trying" to print if the z can't go down any farther...
