Ultimaker 2 Printhead Housing Replacement/Repair

Hello,

My school owns an Ultimaker 2. A couple of weeks ago, the printhead housing developed an issue. During a print, the filament began leaking into the housing itself, and formed a relatively large blob of PVA filament, as shown in the pictures above. A bit of plastic also resides around the tip of the nozzle. Currently, the 3D printer is unable to print, as it leaks filament into the print, messing it up.

I've search on this website and throughout the internet for a new printhead/printhead housing and have been unable to find replacements (preferably a dual extrusion kit if one exists) for an Ultimaker 2. Can anyone provide a link or website where I can acquire a suitable replacement for an Ultimaker 2?

If that isn't an option, is there anyway to remove the plastic blob and seal the hole from which the filament is leaking on the existing printhead?

Thanks in advance.20160222_162447.thumb.jpg.6ff60eeb0a9e7716561127b20cc36a90.jpg

    Hi and welcome,

For spare parts you can check with fbrc8 they have everything you need.

I think it could be possible to clean up the blob by heating and removing with a lot of patience and care. The leak is not an easy thing though if the print head is damage i would change it for an olsson block...
