hybrid Ultimaker?

Recommended Posts

Posted · hybrid Ultimaker?

Hello,

maybe I'll buy an Ultimaker soon.

Ultimaker is faster and more accurate than other machines, so I think it's a good printer, but I was wandering about a new printer, Cartesio http://reprap.org/wiki/CartesioV0.1.

It seems to be an hybrid printer, not so different in structure from the Ultimaker.

So I was wandering, is there a way to mod an Ultimaker to become an hybrid printer too?

Changing the hot end part with a dremel would just do the trick or vibrations will brake the printer?

Thanks in advance
