Good day

Our company is looking to buy a 3D printer to produce functional prototypes of our components to test for dimensional accuracy and correct movement of parts. As a result, we are looking for an accuracte/precise printer capable of producing high quality prints.

We have had a close look at your Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 3, and we think they suit our applicable very well, especially because of the 20 micron layer resolution that they are capable of. However, with the Ultimaker 3 being our printer of choice, we have no way of testing it before we purchase it, and it is an expensive device to buy without knowing that it will serve our purpose.

The question is therefore, where can we find an Ultimaker 3 that we can have samples printed on before we make a purchase? Would we be able to send a sample model to Ultimaker and have them print a sample for us? What are our options here, and what recommendations can be made in our endeavor?

EDIT: Just some background information, we are a small company in South Africa that operates from Centurion, and the majority of our products are printed from ABS, though the prototype material is not vital to us.

Kind regards,

Andrew Hall
