Cura 3.4.1 print area

I have recently upgraded from 15.04.5 to 3.4.1 for a new 3d printer.  My print area is 305 x 305 x 457mm.  When I configure Cura for this printer I set the print area at 305 x 305 x 457mm as indicated by the manufacturer.  In the cura grahpics area the print area that shows up is only 260mm wide in the X axis thereby making the balance of the platform unusable.  I have set this up several times but I get the same results.  So what's going on with Cura that it will not display the correct size?  It seems to be there is a bug in the 'stable' version of Cura....
