Cura 4.4 - How to "ignore/chop" model below buildplate?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited) · Cura 4.4 - How to "ignore/chop" model below buildplate?

This is the first time with 4.4 I've tried to remove the base of a model. I just moved it a few mm down, therefore a bit of the model hangs below the buildplate. No big deal I thought, but it refuses to slice in 4.4 like this.  How do I tell it to ignore that portion below the buildplate?

My interim solution was to use other software to split the model at the desired point. I'm hoping to find an easier just staying in Cura 4.4... Surely there's something simple I'm missing?

This is just the Benchy wave, but I thought it looked cool without the round base...

Thanks!
