Posted · Help! UM2+ Screen Freezes on Loading Print - Heat temp always 0 degrees

Hello, Ive been a bit lazy about getting this solved but its getting worse now.

About 1/3 of the time I load a model to print on my Ultimaker 2+ the screen will jumble and freeze, it gets a bunch of lines across it and all the text on screen screwed and jumbled around.

The printer stalls here still ready to print with fans running and heating it just never gets beyond that point and the screen remains unresponsive.

I have also noticed that it will not save basic settings the print temp is always set to 0 and I have to manually go in and set print temp, build plate temp and sometimes fan speed but not usually as much every time I print something.

Factory reset and resetting to default settings does not fix the problem, loading and unloading filament and selecting profiles does not work.

this problem has been getting worse over the course of a year

The printer is 4 years old in May 2020, it has very light use I only print 300-400 hours a year so less than 2000 hours total on the pinter this is counting the 3 day print Im printing right now.

once I actually get the printer to print it does it beautifully with no errors.

Anyways any help on this would greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. I realize that this could be and most likely is a hardware failure problem, I just don't have enough knowledge to diagnose this sort of thing.

Thanks

Nathan
