Replace broken main board of UM2Go with GT2560?

Posted · Replace broken main board of UM2Go with GT2560?

Hi everyone. My main board has recently become damaged causing both the main cooling fans and the LED strip to stop working. Upon looking for replacements for the main board, or possible alternatives, I came across the GT2560 board. I have some basic knowledge of how 3D printers work, but I'm definitely no expert.

I was wondering if it was possible to replace the main board with the GT2560. The only problems I see so far is the fact that the GT2560 has headers for thermistors which are incompatible with the PT100 sensors my UM2 go uses (I should probably mention that my UM2 go has been modified to include a heated bed).

I was also wondering if it was still possible to use the Ultimaker OLED display and SD card reader with this board, and if I could also use Ultimaker firmware to go with it.

Thank you for your time. I appreciate any replies :D
