Hello, @scobner and @MIKE88

Did you get anywhere with this? I just got a creality CP-01 and I am having problems printing from Cura V 4.6.1.

Essentially, any model I try to print from Cura only lays down the first layer and then the filament stops extruding, but the print head keeps going through the motions. It even makes a slight high pitched buzzing noise when this seems to happen.

In contrast, I know the printer is working, because I can successfully print the stock models that came with the machine, like tuzi. Even more perplexing is that if I try to open the tuzi gcode in Cura, it says that the file is invalid.

Have either of you encountered this?

Thanks

Kevin

    I have this machine too.

Some people says that the fan generates interference; so they suggest this configuration in Cura:

It solved the proble temporary, put now it`s happening again

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
