Posted · Graphics Accelerating software bug.

So recently i came across a bug whilst i was trying to open CURA 4.6.1.

I had previously had no issues with CURA until i had updated the graphics drivers. Then i kept getting the splash screen crash. Which seems to be a quite common thing with cura. I had tried all the techniques to try and get cura to run past the splash screen.

Until i figured out. I was running a Graphics Accelerating software for my card when playing video games.

I tend to keep this software on in the background as it usually causes no issue. I currently use GPU Tweak II from Asus.

Whilst this software is running cura won't make it past the splash screen. One i have turned it off it runs like a dream.

So this might be worth checking with all other GPU Acceleration software in future. I hope this is a help to the community if this issue arises in the future.

This is the failure with the GPU Tweat turned on

This is the one with it turned off.
