Are you an avid 3D printer? I want to hear from you! This semester, myself and a group of 3rd year mechanical engineers have a module on industry and innovation. We are creating a mock business model canvas for an environmentally conscious company that produces recycled 3D filament. If you have 2 minutes spare I would be very grateful if you can complete our survey. Rough estimates are perfectly fine.

Hi there! We’re mechanical engineers from the University of Dundee. We’ve actually seen 3devo, as the makerspace in the art school has one of the filament makers! One of the staff said students had used it primarily to experiment with making different colours of filament. We drew some inspiration from it. There are industrial equivalent machines for cleaning, shredding and extruding that we thought a company could use for a larger scale recycling scheme.

I haven’t heard of the other initiatives, thank you for highlighting them! I will have a look into them.
