Posted · Problem with prime towers and multiple extrusion

I am using a Sovol SV-04 printer, which is an IDEX printer. When it goes to print the prime tower, the second extruder is only printing the priming material on every other layer. (See screenshot). This is causing the second material to effectively print on thin air, which is causing the material to form globs on my hotend and stick to the side of the prime tower. In rare cases, these globs stick upward enough that the nozzle from the other carriage crashes into them and knocks the prime tower over. It is knocking the tower over even when I am using a very sizeable brim.

Is there some way to make Cura print the prime tower on every layer? I am using Cura version 5.2.1.
