Printing just a shell?

I'm trying to print basically a flat stand about 1/4 of an inch thick and 2 x 2 inches. I realize all that I actually need is the hollow shell as it doesn't need to be very strong. I took the time and redesigned it as a hollow form and printed it upside down so no supports are needed. but I'm running into some issues of the minimum wall thickness of the design vs the printable minimum thickness. I would like to just design it as a solid then in Cura tell it to do extra walls and no infill then simply don't print the last couple of layers to close it off. I realize I can go into the Gcode directly and delete the last few layers but is there a method of telling Cura to do this for me?
