You can use create a support blocker and turn it into a modifier mesh which changes the model's settings. This can also be done for horizontal/vertical spans, not just layers, if that would help.
Select your model
Click "support blocker" in the sidebar:
Click somewhere on your model (anywhere, really, although getting it close to the place you want to change doesn't hurt):
Select the blocker and use the move and scale (you'll probably want to turn off Uniform Scaling) tools (the top two on the sidebar) to make the blocker the correct size and move it into position:
It doesn't matter if it's too big, unless there are nearby models you don't want to be affected.
Click "Per Model Settings" in the sidebar and set the mode to Modify Settings for Overlaps
There'll be a bunch of settings already there. You can just leave them at default.
At the bottom, click Select Settings, go down to Infill Density, select it and click Close:
Set your shiny new infill density setting to 100%
Go to the preview, sit back and behold your solid support (I removed the shell from the layer view so you could see the support for this screenshot):
In the Cura 5.8 stable release, everyone can now tune their Z seams to look better than ever. Method series users get access to new material profiles, and the base Method model now has a printer profile, meaning the whole Method series is now supported in Cura!
We are happy to announce the next evolution in the UltiMaker 3D printer lineup: the UltiMaker Factor 4 industrial-grade 3D printer, designed to take manufacturing to new levels of efficiency and reliability. Factor 4 is an end-to-end 3D printing solution for light industrial applications
